View this post on Instagram A film by Charlie Evaristo-Boyce, the song was written by @thandiithandii and was made especially for this video. Graham and Jess were inspired by my most recent screen print ‘SUN MOON’ and recorded a new song under the same title. Originally the video was a ‘making of’ however the song they made was so so beautiful it encouraged me to rework the video and make it into something even more special. I dug through my phone footage from the past six months reminiscing the sunrises, the sunsets and the magic that happens in between. I used to make films before I made prints, I got my first video camera when I was 12 and used to film everything I could and made lots of silly films with my friends. As I got older I got a smartphone and this completely ruined the quality of videos and images I made, this persisted for years. I recently got a smartphone capable of 4K filming and its constantly in my pocket ready for when life chucks wonderful and spontaneous moments in front of your eyes. View this post on Instagram ⚡️NEW FILM⚡️-The making of my new print “Jackfruit, cellphone, wristwatch”. I haven’t made a film in a while. It was really fun learning how to shoot and edit again. I think I have learned a lot about practicality’s of filming on a iphone. The electronic beat is inspired by the sounds of printing machinery and the repetitiveness of the body’s movement. The original soundtrack is by Matthew Mullins @andsoonthetreeswillmelt This new print is live on my online gallery: www.charlieevaristoboyce.co.uk #printmaking #screenprint #originalsoundtrack #futurism #quarantineart #handprinted #silkscreen #artmaking #printmakingtechniques #arttimelapse #jackfruit #artistsupportpledge A post shared by Charlie Evaristo-Boyce (@charlieevaristoboyce) on May 25, 2020 at 6:55am PDT
